Utah County Mom: BYU onesie

Football season is here!  We love football in our house, so I decided to make Lily a BYU outfit to wear on game days.

To make the shirt, I used a white infant onesie I already had.  I then ironed some navy fabric to some

Heat’n Bond

I already had.  It didn’t take much, so I used a square that was about 3″ by 4″.

Once the navy fabric was ironed to the Heat’n Bond, I pinned on a “Y” that I had printed out.  To get the Y, I saved

a picture from the internet

and resized in Microsoft Word.  I used the printout as a pattern and cut it out.

Once cut, I peeled off the back of the Heat’n Bond and ironed it onto the shirt.  Super easy, super fast, and super cute!

To make the skirt, I got the fabric from Hobby Lobby.  ($11 a yard!  I suggest using a coupon.)  I drew my own pattern for this ruffle skirt, but you could use any pattern as long as you make sure to cut it so the Ys and Cougars are facing up.
