We really like Pizzeria 712 in Orem, but it’s more date-friendly and less kid-friendly.
The whole atmosphere is really trendy, with close quarters and not a high chair in sight. The food is great and my husband and his catering friends often talk about how much they like it.
I heard that you can buy dough from Pizzeria 712, so with Lily in tow I stopped by to see if that was true. Sure enough, each ball of dough is only $2! I bought 2 to make 2 small pizzas.
I decided to make a margherita pizza with fresh garlic, fresh mozzarella, fresh parmesan, and fresh basil and tomatoes straight from the garden.
I rolled out the dough for the first pizza, but used my hands to stretch the dough into a circle for the second pizza which worked much better. I baked the pizza for 3 minutes, then brushed on freshly minced garlic and olive oil. I added thinly sliced fresh mozzarella, sliced garden tomatoes, and sliced fresh basil from my garden. I baked it 18-20 minutes at 425 degrees until the crust was golden and the cheese was bubbly.
The pizza was delicious! (The best I have ever made.) I had made extra so we could have leftovers, but Lily, Elliot, and I ended up finishing off all but 2 slices of the 2 pizzas because we loved it so much.
I definitely recommend trying out Pizzeria 712 as a date night. I loved getting their dough and making it a family activity to make and then eat the pizza! I will definitely be doing that more often in the future.
