We went to
Nickel City
as a family last night to reward our girls for completing a goal they set last month. I hadn’t been there in a while so I wasn’t sure what to expect but we ended up having a good time.
This would be an awesome place to go as a date night or with older kids. The place was clean and we ordered a large pizza there for dinner for $10. The cover charge is $2.25 per person and then we used 4 sleeves of nickels between the 4 of us playing. The games I saw were between 2-12 nickels each.
There were few games our 3-year-old was coordinated enough or old enough to play but our 6-year-old was smiling and laughing the whole time. There were a lot of trivia games and fun games for adults I wanted to spend more time at so I think we are going to go back for date night soon without the kids!
To be honest, with little kids like ours (a baby, 3-year-old and 6-year-old) I think Chuck E Cheese probably is a little better for the little ones because there weren’t any rides at Nickel City, but as they start getting older I bet we start taking our kids here more.
